Day 2 - Guest Appearance

May 31, 2022

Hi Guys,

It was great to meet all your new faces during our three workshops yesterday and so pleased my mate "Sebastian" put in a guest appearance during our Pier Views workshop.

He's a bit of a poser which is good for us armed with cameras, but he did'nt hang around long as he was off to meet the girlie seals at Mutton Cove (yes a real place they meet at), just, just along the coast .... and not somewhere this 'good looking young lad' will swim in a wet suit!!!
Ming you, if Sebastian fails to make an appearance at the pier for the next workshop , I might have to splash around and make like a seal.

Glad all workshop members managed to capture a good image of sebastian along with some great views as the St Ives beach transitioned into being a harbour once more .... a transition I just love to watch .... and back to being a beach once more later in the day.
If you make it down here please make sure you visit the harbour/beach at low and high tide .... with your camera of course.
The transition normally takes place twice a day and if you can not find the low/high tide times, just email me.

The self sacrifice testing of local edibles continued yesterday with a couple of croissants early morning. Not planned but they happend to be being pulled out the ovan as I walked past this great back street cafe (The Yellow Canary) after the first workshop. The hazy cloud of 'eat me' fumes was just too over powering! Even for me with my iron strong will against temptation .... hmm.
Plain croissants this time but the chocolate one's were waving at me for my next "happen to be passing early morning wander".
Did also force a twix in just to see how well they travel to the 'toe nail of the UK - might need another one or two to be completely sure before reporting back to you. I like to be fastidious with my research for you guys!

Yesterdays excitment was getting a bit of heat stroke and trying to find my way back to the hostel through the busy sea front with, blurred vision and feeling a bit green around the gills.
You'll be pleased to know I survived (this is not a recording), but it did take a brekfast of portridge, two fat-boy muffins and a flapjack to get my energy levels (and eye sight) back up .... see, sugar is good for you!

I am looking forward to meeting new faces on todays workshops. There is still places on the "Carbis to St Ives" coastal walk and the "Evening Twilights" today.
I can't promise Sebastian but we will certainly be keeping an eye out for him.
